At St. Rita Parish, we reach out into the community through a number of Community Outreach programs. Our Social Ministry has relationships with many area organizations to help those in need.

Family Navigator Services

Family Navigators offer free support and guidance on “navigating” the system of care so parents and other family members can access the resources needed to help a child with intensive mental health or developmental needs.

Family Resource Academy

Series of free workshops held on specified Saturdays for families with children who have intense behavioral health issues.
Childcare and transportation provided as needed.

Support Group

The support group for families of children with intense behavioral needs meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Childcare and transportation is provided as needed. Pizza and desert provided as well.

Available in conjunction with Rita’s Supper Table & St. Vincent de Paul Society
EarnBenefits is a program that helps people get benefits that they are eligible for but not receiving.  These benefits include:

  • Low-cost telephone connection

Available Mondays from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm in the Lower Auditorium.

Greater Baltimore Center for Pregnancy Concerns

  • 24-hour hotline
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Peer counseling
  • Pre-natal development information
  • Information about abortion procedures and risks
  • Hannah’s cupboard (maternity & infant supplies)
  • Parenting classes &/or Mom’s mentoring
  • Abstinence program and counseling for schools/groups and churches
  • Bible study
  • Referral for community services
  • Post abortion stress peer counseling
  • Men’s mentoring
  • Sonograms (limited)
  • Prenatal vitamins
